1. What we collect
What you tell us about your business: name, what you sell, town, prices, hours, address (only for places customers visit), links, photos, logo, certificates and SSM details.
Your contact details: WhatsApp number and email. Your answers to the AI assistant, and how you use Rancak (pages opened, steps completed).
For published websites: visits and customer contacts, counted without storing the visitor's name.
2. Why
To build, check and publish your website, keep your account safe, provide the customer tools, send you reminders about your website and payments, and improve Rancak.
3. AI and learning
Your answers are sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) to write and check your wording.
Rancak learns which questions and layouts help businesses get more customer contacts. It learns only anonymised patterns (for example, "food businesses that add opening hours get more WhatsApp taps"). It never reuses your words, photos or details on anyone else's website.
4. Who else sees it
Your published website is public. Behind the scenes we use service providers who handle data only for us: Cloudflare (hosting, storage and email), Anthropic (AI) and, later, our payment provider. Some of them store data outside Malaysia.
5. How long
Unpublished drafts, their photos and the AI conversation are deleted after 30 days without changes. Published websites are kept while your account is active.
When you delete your account, we delete your data within 30 days, except what the law requires us to keep (for example, payment records).
6. Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, download or delete your personal data, and withdraw consent, by emailing hello@rancak.page. We reply within 21 days.
7. If something goes wrong
If a data breach could harm you, we tell the Personal Data Protection Commissioner and you, as the law requires.
8. Is it compulsory?
Your business name, what you sell, town, WhatsApp number and email are needed to build and publish a website. Everything else is optional.
